MARTI-GRAS (CARNIVAL)
Much Thanks to all the members of the Rosary Society that sponsored our annual Dinner Dance Carnival- Marti Gras. It was a great time for all. Now we begin the Lenten time of penance and fast. Special thanks to all who attended and all who helped.

BLACK HISTORY MONTH
In today's bulletin you will find a short biography of some of Oln- black leaders, please make some time to read it.

LENTEN REGULATIONS
During lent all those over 14 years are to abstain from all meat on Ash Wednesday and all Fridays of Lent. Also, all those between 18 and 59 are to fast on Ash Wednesday and Good Friday, that means limiting oneself to a single full meal, two light meals and no eating in between meals.

LENTEN SELF DENIAL CARDS
The Lenten Self Denial Cards will be distributed today after Mass. We are asking that each adult accept one as a way to Sacrifice during Lent. Additional cards available in the back of the Church.

LENTEN PROGRAM

  • Monday- 7 P.M. -8PM -Quiet time of prayer and Meditation in English with Fr. Peyton in the Rectory. 

  • Tuesday- 7 P .M. -Stations of the Cross -Spanish in the Church, followed by Mass.

  • Thursday -7PM Prayers & Meditation for Lent- in the Church with Deacon Marco- Followed by Mass & Prayer Group.

  • Friday -7PM -Stations of the Cross in English, followed by Mass and Benediction.

  • English Mini Retreat- Sunday, February 20 at 3 P.M. with Sister Ave Clark -"God's Journey with love for us." 

  • Spanish Mission- March 14, 15 & 16- Evenings at 7:30 P .M. with Fr. Fernando.

  • Seder Supper- Tuesday, March 22- 7PM in the lower Church- Get tickets in advance.

  • Soup Day-Wednesday, March 23 -7 P.M. -Day of Fast ending with a Soup Dinner and the Sacrament of Reconciliation (Confession).

LITURGICAL CHANGES
Please remember the changes that have been made at the Mass in order to help us celebrate the Eucharist with more reverence. First, before receiving Communion to nod your head, as a sign of reverence and understanding of what's taking place. Second, the Sign of Peace is to be exchanged only with those around us and no victory sign to the community.

ADULT CLASSES -ENGLISH & GED
These classes have resumed and are taking place every Monday and Wednesday evening at 6:30 P.M. Classes are free and everyone over the age of 18 is welcomed.

TAX STATEMENTS
All those who need statements of contributions to the Church for the year 2004 are asked to come into the rectory. I would ask that you call in advance so that the report can be ready.

YOUTH
We are looking to establish a youth committee to plan and work with the youth of the Parish. If interested leave your name for Father Peyton. The youth is our future and we need to help them. 

ATLANTIC CITY
There will be another trip to Atlantic City on Sunday, February 20. The bus will leave after the 8:30 AM Mass. Only adults may travel in the bus. Tickets will be $27 and you get $20 back. We will provide limited coffee and water for the trip. Get your tickets early. Last time we ran out of seats. No reservations without money.

OL OF GUADALUPE
The Society for O.L. of Guadalupe wishes to invite you to bring your pictures or Our Lady to be Blessed on Sunday, February 12 at the 11:30 AM Mass. Also, if anyone is interested in donating flowers for this Mass, please contact Mr. Rufino Pintor thru the Rectory .

CONCERT
On Saturday, February 26,2005 beginning at 7:00 P.M. we will have a concert of Spanish Religious Music with Fr. Fernando, Erik & Clari & Peter & Paul Ministry. Tickets are now available- $10 Adults & $5 children.
